It may be some time yet before decisions are reached over the restructuring plan for General Motors’ Opel, Germany’s Welt am Sonntag (World on Sunday) newspaper reported yesterday, citing the carmaker’s chief executive officer Nick Reilly.

Reilly told the newspaper that GM will need some time to convince all parties involved that its plan is the right one. He added that ultimately GM will receive support for the restructuring of Opel.

Reilly said plans are to raise sales of Opel cars by 500,000 to 1.7m by 2015, according to the paper.
