Mercedes-Benz sales in April rose 14.2% to 133,077 vehicles with the year to date tally up 14.9% to 507,353.

Sales chief Ola Källenius said the C-class was largely responsible for the 10th consecutive month of double-digit percentage growth.

European sales rose 10.3% to 62,868 and were up 8.2% to 224,257 YTD.

US sales rose 9.5% to 25,887 but the really big growth was in China with volume up 38.2%to 22,438. A special long wheelbase model built by Beijing Benz is due out there in the third quarter.
