Citroën’s Mitsubishi-built C-Crosser SUV is now offered with an automatic transmission coupled to a re-tuned diesel engine.

The six-speed ‘auto’ – with manual mode and paddle shifters – is a dual clutch automated manual dubbed DCS and the 156hp 2.2 diesel it is bolted to has CO2 emissions of 192g/km compared with the uprated manual transmission version’s 185g.

The model line also gets improved interior materials and some equipment upgrades such as range-wide automatic wipers.

Similar changes can be expected for the Peugeot version. These PSA models are based on Mitsubishi’s Outlander and built on an OEM basis by the Japanese automaker with some models using French engines.
