Peugeot is launching the 206+, the descendant of almost 6.5m 206s produced since 1998.
A similar model called ‘207’ was introduced in South America in mid-2008.
The new French-built “range entry” car takes styling cues from the newer 207 with new bonnet, radiator grille and headlights and has an updated interior and new tail lights.
For the European market, it is manufactured in France, at Mulhouse, with 1.1- and 1.4-litre petrol engines and a 1.4-litre HDi diesel. It will be pitched between the 107, 1007 and 207.
