Fastned’s board has nominated Marieke Bax and Marije van Mens as new supervisory directors.

At the General Meeting of Shareholders on 4 June, 2020, Bax and Mens will be nominated for the role of supervisory director.

At the same meeting commissioner, Hans Streng will resign his role as supervisory director. If the appointments are approved, the supervisory board of Fastned will consist of four supervisory directors.

“I am very pleased with the nomination of Marieke Bax and Marije van Mens on the Supervisory Board,” said Fastned co-founder and chairman, Bart Lubbers.

“Both have a lot of relevant experience and a strong affinity with Fastned’s sustainable mission.”

Fastned is a charging company building a European network of fast-charging stations where fully-electric vehicles can charge as quickly as possible. The stations are located at high traffic locations along highways and in cities, where electric cars can add up to 200km range in 15 minutes maintains the supplier.

As of today, Fastned has 114 stations operational in the Netherlands, Germany and the UK and is working on expanding its fast-charging network to the rest of Europe.

Fastned is currently simultaneously building fast charging stations in the Netherlands, Germany and the UK and preparing for building its first stations in other countries, with a focus on Belgium, Switzerland and France.
