Ricardo Group is to greatly expand its technology centre in the Czech Republic, investing €2.1 million into combustion engine R&D and creating up to 170 new skilled jobs. The number of employees will increase from 30 to 200 but no timings were revealed.


“What convinced us was the quality of Czech engineers and the long automotive tradition in the Czech Republic,” said Clive Hickman, managing director of of Ricardo Vehicle Engineering.


Ricardo Group established a branch in the Czech Republic in March 2000. The Prague centre offers research & development services to companies in the group and external customers and currently employs 30 engineers.
