GM sales in central and eastern Europe are expected to leap nearly 45% this year.
Speaking at an Automotive News conference in Prague, GM Europe’s sales chief Jonathan Browning said he expected volume to grow from 350,000 in 2006 to 505,000 this year.
Reuters reported he added the company was optimistic about Chevrolet across all of Europe, with sales potentially reaching 1m units in the market at some point. The brand sold 342,000 in 2006 and is estimated to reach 450,000 this year.
