German auto-maker Volkswagen AG and China’s State Environmental Protection Administration (SEPA) have signed a memorandum of understanding concerning pollution controls.
The two-year agreement will see Volkswagen provide experts and financial and technological support to help China develop an auto-emission control system.
The initial step will be to draft policies and technical guidelines for the prevention of pollution caused by diesel fuel exhaust.
