Nissan’s
Cube minicar may be built in China

Nissan will enter China’s minicar market within two years, according to a story
carried on local websites.

The story says that Nissan’s Cube and March (Micra) will be produced in China.

The report said that these two models, priced from 1 million yen (about $US8,400)
to 1.3 million yen (US10,900), are very popular with young buyers in Japan but
do not make a profit; therefore, insiders say, they are likely to be produced
in China.

The next-generation March/Micra will be the first Nissan to share a platform
with Renault. This car will also be built in the U.K.
