A document listing details of Geely Auto future models has been published on the firm’s website. It also shows an imminent, dramatic cull of existing cars.

As predicted, the company used Sunday’s media preview of AutoChina 2014 to announce the phasing out of its Englon and Gleagle brands, leaving just Geely and, in a new form, Emgrand. The last of these is to become a sub-brand, with cars to be sold as Geely Emgrands, no longer Emgrands.

It should take some time for the firm’s domestic market model range to be whittled down, but clearly, a long overdue process has finally begun.
