Evonik Industries has started operations at a new hydrogen peroxide plant in Jilin (China), with an annual capacity of 230,000 metric tons.
The producer has invested more than EUR100m (US$136m) in the site, raising its current global capacity for hydrogen-peroxide production to more than 900,000 metric tons per year.
“This investment further consolidates our market leadership for hydrogen peroxide and sees us pursuing our growth strategy in Asia,” said Evonik Industries chairman, Klaus Engel at the opening ceremony in Jilin.
