The Chinese economy is making a strong start to the year, even after three years of average annual growth of 10%, according to Reuters.
Industrial growth for January and February was up 16.2%. Vehicle production was up 40.6%.
The government is cutting taxes and increasing support to the countryside in an effort to spur household spending and, in doing so, to wean the economy off exports and related investments.
