Asahi Glass says it has established its first technical centre for the chemicals business in Shanghai and is starting operations today (10 March).
With the centre, AGC maintains it will strengthen its locally-based technical service functions and boost sales of its fluorinated functional chemicals in China.

AGC has been undertaking sales activities to meet regional demand through AGC Chemicals Trading (Shanghai) in Shanghai and its Guangzhou Branch.
Sales of its chemicals in China, mainly of fluorinated functional chemicals, have doubled during the last few years and demand for fluorinated functional chemicals, which have weatherability and long service life, is increasing for use in areas such as automotive, electronics, buildings, and agricultural greenhouses.
