Toyota Canada and Edmonton International Airport (YEG) have announced a deal for a fleet of 100 Mirai hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).
It was claimed to be the first hydrogen fleet in Alberta.
Air Products would supply an interim hydrogen refuelling station for the airport.
The Edmonton Metro Region’s 5,000 Vehicle Challenge aims to have 5,000 hydrogen and hydrogen dual fuel vehicles on the road in the province by 2028.
