Jaguar Canada has announced (01/11/00) that sales for the past month achieved the best October in more than 10 years, for a total of 201 cars sold, or nearly a 13 percent increase over October 1999. Year-to-date sales have increased nearly 43 percent compared with the same period last year.
The S-TYPE continues to lead the way with an increase of more than 21 percent, compared with October 1999, for a total of 103 cars sold. Large sedan (XJ Series, Vanden Plas) sales show an increase of more than 33 percent for October compared with the same month last year. Year-to-date sports car sales have increased nearly 26 percent compared with the same period last year.

“Today marks the reveal of the name of our all new small sedan, the Jaguar X-TYPE,” said Russell J. Reynolds, president of Jaguar Canada. “We expect that when the X-TYPE goes on sale in the middle of next year, we will see sales increases and records much the same as we have since the launch of Jaguar S-TYPE.”
In the United States, Jaguar Cars year to date sales have totaled 35,865 cars, more than 35 percent compared with the same period last year.
