Honda’s facilities in Alliston employ Honda’s “New Manufacturing System” that improves efficiency and flexibility within the manufacturing process, while at the same time, improves the quality and working environment. This system reduces investment in new tooling at model change over time and compresses the time needed for new model development. The impressive “General Welder”, with its highly flexible and reprogrammable welding robots, only hints at the new flexibility that this system provides.
