A sweeping range of proposals to promote widespread adoption of clean vehicle technology has been put forward today (28 April) by the European Union (EU).
The EU has identified vehicles capable of using electricity, hydrogen, biogas and liquid biofuels as vanguards in its green technology push and as a way for manufacturers to emerge from the current economic uncertainty.
Competitors on both the American and Asian continents are investing in low-carbon technologies, notes the EU, highlighting its own ‘Resource-efficient Europe” initiative to promote decarbonising the transport sector.
