Ford Genk will hire another 300 temporary employees in the next few weeks to raise the production of the Mondeo from 1,100 to 1,650 cars a day. Ford would like to run on maximum capacity as soon as possible because the demand for the Mondeo is heavy and because several problems of the last few days have created a large backlog.

Yesterday, Ford also decided not to work next Saturday after a bit of commotion between the board and the staff on Tuesday.
