Automechanika Shanghai, due to take place from 24 to 27 November, 2021, is pushing back its show dates due to a recent onset of COVID-19 cases in various provinces and cities in China.
A new date will be announced in due course.
“It is currently a pivotal moment for the government to get ahead of its containment efforts and prevent the wider outbreak of cases,” said Messe Frankfurt (HK) deputy GM, Fiona Chiew.
“To support these actions, we have decided to defer Automechanika Shanghai. First and foremost, our top priority is to protect the wellbeing of all participants travelling to the show.
“On behalf of the team, I would like to thank all industry players for their support and understanding. I look forward to welcoming everyone back to the fair during the rescheduled time.”
The event’s online platform, AMS Live, will proceed as planned, offering a gateway for business exchange among current exhibitors and buyers.
Automechanika Shanghai is organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) and the China National Machinery Industry International (Sinomachint).
