September 2003 management briefing
Almost as soon as the car was born people started racing it. From that time it has been justified as a means of developing cars and introducing new technology in much the same way that warfare is said to speed up the development of all forms of arms and armament. While there could be some grounds for arguing the case that motor sport has spurred on the development of new products in the past, there has been some question in the last few years as to whether this still applies. This exclusive members’ only briefing looks at what motor sport has to offer the automotive industry and what, in turn, the automotive sector has to offer the racing industry.
