Notably, batteries was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q2 2024, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of ecommerce and big data, according to GlobalData.
Of the top leading companies in the automotive industry, Ford Motor had the greatest increase in references for batteries in Q2 2024, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 142 batteries-related sentences in the company's filings - 3% of all sentences - and an increase of 103% in Q2 2024 compared with Q2 2023. General Motors’s mentions of batteries dropped by 62% to 46 and Renault’s by 289% to 35 and Li Auto’s by 39% to 23 and Stellantis’s by 84% to 23.
