Hyundai Motor provided a preview of the interior and exterior design of its all-new Tucson compact SUV, the model’s first complete redesign in six years. The fifth-generation Tucson is slightly longer and wider than the model it replaces, providing more interior space and headroom.
The new Tucson features a radically new exterior design, with a body style based on Hyundai’s ‘Art of Steel’ design philosophy, with straight lines and features providing a sturdier, bolder appearance. The front of the vehicle features an H-shaped daytime running light, while at the rear, the vehicle has prism lamps with three-dimensionally protruding lenses.
The outgoing model, launched in September 2020, is available with a choice of conventional 1.6L, 2.0L, and 2.5L petrol engines and a 2.0L diesel engine, as well as hybrid-electric (HEV) and plug-in hybrid-electric (PHEV) options.
The new Tucson is scheduled to be officially launched in October 2026, with retail sales in South Korea starting soon after that and deliveries in major international markets such as the US beginning in early 2027.
A Hyundai spokesperson told reporters: “We aim to deliver an even newer SUV experience to customers through a more spacious interior and meticulous design that can be felt in everyday life."
