After meetings with US dealers, Visionary Vehicles CEO Malcolm Bricklin now says some of his newly-recruited dealers will be allowed to use existing dealer facilities for the initial launch of the Chinese-made Chery vehicle line.

“This interim step will allow all of Visionary’s dealers to participate in the product launch during early 2007, while completing the process of building the exciting ‘auto show’ facilities at a fast but prudent pace,” the company said in a statement.

Bricklin said: “We expect many of Visionary’s dealers to have auto show facilities operational by early 2007. For some dealers, however, the time required to purchase the land, conform to zoning regulations, secure permit approvals, and complete construction would preclude them from participating in the product launch. We will work with these dealers to ensure that the Chery product line is displayed in adequate facilities.”
