Multi-Year Contract Includes UGS’ Entire Suite of Integrated Solutions

Unigraphics Solutions Inc. (NYSE: UGS – news) announces the signing of a new multi-year corporate license agreement with Delphi Automotive Systems (NYSE: DPH – news) that includes the entire suite of UGS’ integrated software for collaborative product development. Over the next several years UGS will help Delphi significantly expand its use of iMAN, ProductVision, Solid Edge and Unigraphics.

The implementation of these integrated software solutions will take place in over 20 countries throughout the globe and will make Delphi one of UGS’ largest customers for all of its primary product development applications. It is intended to support network access to design information and knowledge bases for Delphi’s global engineering teams, anytime they need it and in the formats they require.

“sing Unigraphics as a key component of our common global CAD/CAM system helps Delphi maintain consistent engineering processes,”says Nick Forte, Delphi’s manager of Math Based Systems. “t also enables system integration, eliminates redundancy and promotes the use of best practices throughout Delphi. Further, we anticipate reduced training costs and a more reliable and efficient technology refresh.”

“GS’ products, such as iMAN and Product Vision, will help Delphi engineers collaborate globally with one another, as well as with our customers and suppliers, throughout the product development process,”says Peter Janak, Delphi’s vice president and Chief Information Officer. “s our product technology becomes even more sophisticated, close synergy across the engineering function is a necessity. Using tools like these will help Delphi drive supply chain efficiency, and respond more quickly to changing customer requirements.”

“e are delighted that Delphi has decided to establish this long term partnership with UGS,”says Tony Affuso, president and CEO, Unigraphics Solutions. “s the world’s largest auto supplier, Delphi has very high standards for the companies they choose to work with, and for several years, our two organizations have enjoyed an outstanding relationship that has been consistent with UGS’ focus on the customer. This agreement — combined with our successes at GM, Isuzu, BMW and Saab — further strengthens UGS’ position as a dominant force in the automotive industry.”
