Tenneco Automotive will supply Toyota with exhaust components for the next-generation Tundra truck to be launched in autumn 2006.

Tenneco will supply the Tundra lines from two new ‘just-in-time’ operations near Toyota’s assembly plants in Princeton, Indiana and San Antonio, Texas. In San Antonio the firm is one of 18 companies selected as an on-site supplier. The exhaust product design and engineering will be done at the company’s emission control engineering centre in Grass Lake, Michigan.

Tenneco Automotive is a global supplier to Toyota, providing both ride control and emissions control products. In addition to the Tundra business, it supplies emission control products and systems for the Lexus RX 330 SUV, Toyota Sienna, Avalon, Sequoia and Scion tC Sport.
