JD Power and Associates has announced that Scott D. Upham has joined the firm as Senior Director of Global Forecasting for J.D. Power-LMC Automotive Forecasting Services. In his new role, Upham will direct the Forecasting Group’s client relations and new product development efforts. The group provides global sales, production and powertrain (engine and transmission) forecasts, intelligence on new and upcoming vehicles, and forecasts for future automotive technologies.

Prior to joining JD Power and Associates, Upham founded and was the president of Providata Automotive, an automotive research and consulting firm.
Previously, Upham was director, competitive assessment and special studies for Autofacts International.
