The parts will be available from next autumn and will come with a factory-backed warranty. Nissan cites the increasing popularity of manufacturer-backed performance parts and requests from owners as reasons for launching NISMO.
The brand was introduced in Japan in 1984 and Nissan claims it is “the premiere [sic] supplier of high-performance aftermarket parts and accessories for Nissan vehicles in Japan”.
The NISMO branded parts will be aimed at three market segments – performance parts for Nissan vehicles; Infiniti R-Spec parts; and racing parts for off-road and racetrack use. NISMO also will offer performance parts for current and previous model Nissan and Infiniti vehicles, including the new Sentra SE-R and planned Infiniti G35 sports saloon and Nissan 350Z coupe.
