The automaker confirmed on Friday that Christopher J. Fraleigh, who was previously a top marketing executive at PepsiCo Inc.’s Pepsi-Cola division, had been employed as executive director of corporate marketing and advertising, reporting to GM vice president John Middlebrook. The appointment took effect today (8/1/00).


Fraleigh will oversee GM’s multibillion-dollar advertising and marketing efforts, as well as the GM Card credit card program.
