Ford recently gave driveline system supplier GKN a Recognition of Achievement
award for its warranty reduction programme.
According to Carlos Mazzorin, Ford’s group vice president for global purchasing,
"this award honours suppliers for their efforts in helping us to achieve
our successful results in 1999."

The company has also received Automotive Industries magazine’s "Quest
for Excellence" Award as one of the auto industry’s top suppliers.
The award is based on a survey of automotive manufacturers, which ranks suppliers
on customer service and responsiveness. GKN was honoured in the Chassis/Suspension
Systems category.
