Covisint has awarded EDS a contract to provide global customer service support for the exchange’s commercially available products and services.
Under the agreement, terms of which were not disclosed, EDS will provide direct assistance to Covisint customers worldwide, including those engaged in online automotive parts auctions.
Covsint said in a statement that by utilising EDS’ remote customer support services, Covisint customers will be able to obtain immediate assistance in the use of their products and services. EDS support will provide answers to customer issues encountered while utilising Covisint’s suite of Web-delivered services.
“Calling on EDS is the right choice based on their global reach, proven processes and procedures and response under a tight time frame,” said Dori Bennett, Covisint vice president, Global Deployment and Customer Service.
EDS will provide support for all of Covisint’s applications including real time support for live-auction participants where immediate and effective assistance is critical information to customers on future products or service direction, such as participation in online material auctions where immediate and effective assistance is critical.
In the event a live-auction participant is unable to enter bids directly, EDS will also provide surrogate bidding services from its Southfield, Mich. and Mechelen, Belgium service centres.
