Chrysler has previewed an updated two-door version of its PT Cruiser at a dinner for judges and organisers of the 52nd Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
The California Cruiser was described as “a concept of what might be next”.
With strong visual links to the current model, the concept gives a clue as to how an update might look.
The usual accompanying PR hype describes the California Cruiser as “an all-around versatile vehicle with two large doors, an innovative rear hatch and multi-functional interior [with] ample space for four people and their travel needs, [that] can be transformed into a hotel room for two”.
The concept will appear at the 2002 Paris Motor Show.
