ArvinMeritor’s Commercial Vehicle Systems’ (CVS) business has signed an agreement with Hyundai Motor Company to supply shock absorbers for its medium- and heavy-duty trucks, effective immediately. The shock absorbers will be manufactured at the company’s Ride Control facility, located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The company will supply rear primary suspension shock absorbers for Hyundai’s 6 x 4 and 6 x 2 tractors, 8 x 4 dump trucks and 10 x 4 25T cargo vocational trucks built in Chonju, South Korea.

“The formalising of this agreement is a testament to the level of support we have been able to provide to this new and important customer,” said CVS Worldwide Ride Control managing director Al Pontes. “We have great success exporting our products to the Asia-Pacific region for a number of commercial vehicle customers.  We are pleased that Hyundai has recognised our strength and capabilities.”
