Toyota Boshoku America will open a North American home office in Erlanger, Kentucky after the manufacturer of automotive interior systems received approval last month from the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority for a $US2.1m tax incentive to build the HQ in northern Kentucky.
According to the Associated Press (AP), the company, based in Aichi, Japan, said it plans to recruit 100 employees over the next two years for its Kentucky operations.
State governor Ernie Fletcher and the Northern Kentucky Tri-County Economic Development Corporation reportedly welcomed the opening of the office.
Toyota Boshoku was formed in October 2004 with the merger of the former Toyoda Boshoku, the automotive interiors division of Araco, and Takanichi, AP noted.
