GM large SUV division Hummer has allowed its name to be used on a mobile phone designed by the CDM (Customised Design Manufacturer) ModeLabs Group.

In a statement, Hummer said the HT1 phone was inspired by the design and finish of the wheels and grille of its vehicles. The phone has a uniquely styled slider format and a touch panel which combines the latest technology and design with a range of colours: yellow, khaki and sand.

Features including multimedia, triband, Bluetooth stereo, data modem, USB port, micro SD memory card extension, FM radio, 2-megapixel camera with digital zoom, MP3 audio player, MEPG4 video recorder and email.

The interface can be customised with authentic Hummer paint colours and exclusive (10 wallpapers and 2 videos). The pack includes two battery covers (in camouflage colours). Specially designed protective covers and leather cases will also be offered.

Using ModeLabs international network of subsidiaries, the Hummer HT1 phone will be distributed in Europe from this month and in other countries “soon”.
