Delphi has looked to clarify reports of a close call between a Delphi autonomous car on test and one from Google.
Recent reports suggested the two test cars had a close call on a Silicon Valley street.

Delphi issued a short statement of clarification.
“During a recent visit with Reuters, our Delphi expert described an actual interaction that we encounter all the time in real-world driving situations,” the statement said.
“In this case, it was a typical lane change manoeuvre. No vehicle was cut off and the vehicles didn’t even come close to each other. Both automated vehicles did exactly what they were supposed to do,” the statement insisted.
Last week Reuters reported that a Delphi prototype Audi Q5 crossover vehicle was about to change lanes on San Antonio Road when a Google self-driving prototype Lexus RX400h crossover cut off the Audi, forcing it to abort the lane change.
