Second-quarter operating income at leading US component manufacturer Dana Corp. is expected to fall short of experts` estimates.

Citing industry-wide weakness in both the North American and European markets and its impact within its automotive aftermarket business unit, Dana Corp. expects to report an operating income between $1.00 and $1.03 a share. These results fall short of analysts` expectations of $1.14 per share.

Delays in consolidating Dana`s aftermarket Engine Controls warehouse network contributed `significantly` to the second-quarter downturn, according to the company.
