Caterpillar has denied recent media reports it intends to purchase a 20% stake in China’s Anhui Xingma Group.

“Both Caterpillar and Anhui Xingma Automobile Group seek to clarify that there are currently no plans for Caterpillar to make such an equity investment in Anhui Xingma Automobile Group,” the two companies said in a joint statement on Friday.
