Ukraine’s major car manufacturer ZAZ, based in Zaporizhzhya, produced 99,933 cars in January-July, or 21.2% up year on year, the plant’s major shareholder and managing company UkrAVTO said on Monday.
The car maker produced 21,151 Lanos T-150 vehicles; 12,160 Slavuta vehicles and 8,563 VAZ-21099 cars in January-July, the Prime-Tass news agency reported.
The plant’s output of Sens cars totaled 8,271 units, Tavrias output was 5,467 vehicles, 5,083 VAZ-21093 vehicles; 2,735 SKD Opel units; 2,405 Tavria-Pickups, and 798 units of the Opel Astra H, as well as 33,300 other vehicles, the producer’s managing company said.
ZAZ output was 16,794 vehicles in July, 60.9% up year on year.
In 2005, ZAZ output totaled 148,163 units, up 17.6%. Net profit was 37.6m hryvnas in 2005, down from 568.7 million hryvnas the previous year.
