Geely has taken the number one slot in the Ukrainian new vehicle market for the second month in a row. The Chinese brand pulled ahead of Toyota in January with a 44% YoY sales surge.

According to figures issued by the Auto-Consulting Analysis Group, Geely captured 12.4% of the January market with total sales of 1,356 vehicles. Toyota, with 1,253, was in second place, and national maker ZAZ took third position with 860 vehicles.

Car sales were up 4.3% year on year in January, reaching 10,950 units. In 2013, sales totalled 346,746 vehicles a 4.5% drop over 2012.
