TRB, the new UK arm of Japanese specialist automotive switch manufacturer Tokai
Rika, is doubling its workforce at its North Wales headquarters as it ramps up
to full production.
The company is recruiting 50 new staff for the £6 million factory which
will be the centre of Tokai Rika&’s European automotive switch business,
forecast to be worth more than £25 million by 2003.
The workforce will more than double this year to around 100 and rise to 160
by 2003.
TRB is recruiting for engineering, production and clerical posts and the expansion
in the workforce comes as it ramps up production to coincide with the opening
of Toyota&’s new car assembly plant in France.
The Denbighshire plant manufactures wiper and headlight lever switches plus
air conditioning and hazard warning light controls for the UK and Europe.
TRB also plans to expand production to include automatic transmission controls
and remote keyless entry systems.
