UK commercial vehicle production rose 30.2% to 10,164 units year on year in August, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
Year to date production was up 12.5% to 133,924 units.
Exports rose 48.1% to 5,674 units in August and were up 25% to 80,645 for the year so far.
“CV plants throughout the UK are benefiting from the EU-wide recovery in demand for vans and trucks,” said SMMT CEO Chris Macgowan.
