Peugeot has finally revealed the production 207 wagon which will be launched in the UK next month.

Branded the 207 SW, the new model will, like the larger 307SW, come standard with a full length ‘Cielo’ glass panoramic roof and has an innovative rear seat folding mechanism which provides a flat loading area when extra luggage space is required.

It has the same wheelbase as the five-door hatchback version but is 119mm longer and 38mm taller, giving more rear headroom and interior space.

The extra length also boost luggage space from the hatchback’s 270 litres to 325 litres and, with rear seats folded, 1410 litres.

It will be available at launch with four engine options: 90 and 110bhp 1.6-litre HDi diesels and two petrol engines developed as part of the deal with BMW that produced new engines for the Mini – a new 1.4 litre VTi 95 bhp unit and the current 1.6 litre VTi 120 bhp engine.
