Honda is introducing new active safety features, including advanced laser radar cameras and sensors, in its British built Civic models from 2014.
Such innovations first starting making their way into the C segment with redesigned Ford Focus and Vauxhall (Opel) Astra models several years ago.

Both the new Tourer (wagon) and hatchback will be available with a new driver assistance safety pack, a GBP780 option on all SE Plus, SR and EX Plus models. The sensor-based technologies included in the pack help avoid a collision.
The pack includes city-brake active system; forward collision warning, high beam support system, traffic sign recognition, blind spot information and cross traffic monitor.
