Toyota will nearly double diesel engine production capacity at its Thai plant in Chonburi Province.
Output will increase from 320,000 units a year to around 610,000 engines in 2015 and the move will create about 450 new jobs.

The company said the engines would go into vehicles produced in Thailand and also be exported to other Asian and Middle East countries.
