Tenneco says it has opened a new clean air manufacturing plant in Lansing, Michigan, to support General Motors and its crossover vehicle platform.

The 70,000-square foot facility is responsible for sequencing exhaust assemblies, manufactured at Tenneco's Litchfield, Michigan for the GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse models, which are assembled at GM's Lansing plant. 

"Tenneco is proud to support General Motors through our new facility in Lansing and we are dedicated to providing quality products and excellent customer service," said Tenneco VP and general manager North America Clean Air, Mike Seurynck.

Tenneco operates 64 Clean Air manufacturing facilities throughout the world, including 15 in North America, manufacturing Clean Air after-treatment technologies and systems.

Its Clean Air global engineering centres in Grass Lake, Michigan, Edenkoben, Germany and Kunshan, China, support the design, testing and development of systems for light vehicle and commercial truck and off-highway applications as well as locomotive, marine and stationary engine customers throughout the world.
