Southeast Asia’s largest telecoms group, Singapore Telecommunications Ltd. (SingTel) reportedly said on Tuesday it had signed a three-year multi-million-dollar contract to provide and manage a network for BMW Group.

SingTel will support the German car giant’s telecommunications network, linking the Asia Pacific region to its headquarters in Munich, the company said in a statement cited by Reuters.

About 75% of SingTel’s revenue comes from its overseas operations. Singapore’s largest listed firm, majority-owned by the government, last week reported a second-quarter net profit of $S735 million ($US444 million), a 21% rise from the corresponding period last year, the report added.
