Schaeffler has said it plans to add more than 5,000 additional charging points for EVs worldwide.

These include 3,000 charging points at European locations.

The locations for the pilot projects will be in Germany, in Herzogenaurach and Schweinfurt. Following the successful completion of the test phase, the project will be gradually rolled out in all other regions of the Schaeffler Group

Andreas Schick, Chief Operating Officer of Schaeffler AG, said: “Schaeffler stands for sustainability and is committed to e-mobility. Through this project, we will increase Schaeffler’s attractiveness as a sustainable employer and further motivate our workforce to act in an environmentally conscious manner.”

The expansion plan for the Herzogenaurach location allows for the construction of a further 245 charging points for employees, company cars, and visitors in 2025.
