Ukraine car maker Eurocar plans to assemble 16,000 cars in 2005, up from 9,500 expected this year, its director general Oleg Boyarin told Prime-Tass.

In 2005 the plant plans to produce 12,500 Skoda cars, 2,800 Volkswagen cars and about 700 Audi cars. No comparisons were provided.


In January-November, the plant assembled 7,542 cars, 61.8% up year on year.


As of October 2003, the company’s key shareholder was Ukraine’s Atoll Holding, with a 60% stake, Prime-Tass noted.
