Hyundai Motor sales in Russia plunged 54% year on year to about 7,700 cars last month. Its January sales had fallen 48% to 6,567 units, local media reports said.


Hyundai sold 192,719 cars in Russia last year, including vehicles produced at the Taganrog Automobile Plant (TagAZ) which accounted for 54% of the volume.


Hyundai is currently building a plant in St. Petersburg expected to assemble 100,000 units year once it is finished in 2010.
