From 1 May, 2021, Nicolas Maure, currently EVP, chief turnaround officer and a member of Renault Group’s management board, is appointed CEO of Groupe Renault Operations in Russia and CIS. He will report to group CEO Luca de Meo.
Russia is the group’s second largest market in terms of production and sales volume with Renault and Lada brands.
“Maure’s experience and knowledge of Russia and CIS will be an asset in this challenge,” said de Meo.
Maure will be responsible for the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kirgizstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Mongolia.
He joined Renault in 2000 as purchasing director of the parts and accessories division, after a career at Valeo and Faurecia. He then became director of the quality plan in March 2003 and general manager of Societe de Transmissions Automatiques in September 2004. In September 2006, Maure was named director of the Dacia powertrain plant in Romania. In August 2008, he became VP powertrain at Renault-Nissan Purchasing Organisation and, in March 2013, was appointed VP of group manufacturing performance. In January 2014, hew was appointed managing director of Romania and CEO of Automobile Dacia.
In April 2016, he became president & CEO of Avtovaz until May 2018. He then became chairman of the board in June 2019. On 1 January, 2018, he became SVP, chairman of Eurasia region.
